Benefiting the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation, Inc.

The Cowboys and Kids 5K supports the efforts of the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation, Inc., and the Mesquite Education Association (MEA). These partner organizations are dedicated to enriching and enhancing the education of Mesquite’s 37,000 youngsters.

The Foundation supplies funds for projects and programs outside the regular school district budget through a grant application process. The Foundation Board of Directors come from a cross section of the community. They have a vision of excellence for the school district, but realize that the lack of state funding limits programs and services to students. For more information, visit: www.mesquitefoundation.org or call 972-882-7513.

Also Benefiting the Mesquite Education Association

The Mesquite Education Association is an organization that supports the highest teaching standards and instructional practices for the benefit of our students. This organization was formed for all MISD employees and retirees alike, enjoying a robust membership of over 4,000. Each year the MEA proudly presents multiple scholarships to graduating seniors from each of the District’s six high schools. In addition, the organization funds scholarships for paraprofessionals and student teachers who aspire to become certified in the teaching profession.
